Why I Launched PutDownYourArms: A Call for Peace in a World at War

There comes a point when you look around at the chaos and noise of the world and ask yourself: Is this really the best we can do?

For me, that moment hit hard. I saw headlines filled with war, loss, and young lives sacrificed for causes they didn’t start. I saw division replacing dialogue and flags flown higher than compassion. And I couldn’t stay silent any longer.

That’s why I created PutDownYourArms—a movement, a message, and a store. It’s a place where peace has a platform, and where everyday people can wear their values on their sleeves (literally).

This isn’t about politics. It’s about people. About reminding military-age youth that they have a choice. That staying home, standing for peace, and building their communities is just as brave—if not braver—than marching off to fight someone else’s war.

We sell shirts, mugs, and socks, yes—but every item carries a message: Choose peace. Question power. Stay human.

This is just the beginning. There will be stories, hard truths, and hope shared here. You don’t need a weapon to make a stand. You just need to raise your voice.

Welcome to PutDownYourArms. Let’s build peace, one person at a time.
